Our history
We are a family corporation engaged for three generations in the production, distribution and marketing of plastics.
In 1973, STIR S.p.A. was born, and within a few years, became the biggest business enterprise in Southern Italy.
In 2004, STIR S.p.A. broadens its range of services and complements its production activity, historical mission, the marketing of special polymers for the plastics industry by acquiring the R.G. CHEM.
To meet the needs of customers and satisfy every need, in 2006 STIR S.p.A. decides to further expand its scope through the distribution of polyolefins.
In 2013, all the PVC compounding activities of STIR were spun off and transferred to a new company, STIR Compounds. The spinoff operation, decided in the framework of the restructuring plan of the STIR group, is based on the strong belief that production and distribution activities require different strategies and thus, should be developed in independent structures.
Today STIR S.p.A. is the holding company of the group, holds the investments of the other companies that comprise it and concentrates in the distribution of plastic materials, an activity that is continuously strengthened through agreements with domestic and international partners.
